May 30

So much since the last entry:

  • Work trips for M365 Private Preview.  Austin, Minneapolis, Detroit (with detour through Indianapolis)
  • Boston trip to visit Forrester, Biogen, and Shire.  Beautiful weather, lots of walking, ate at the crab shack.
  • Getting ready for Paris work trip in June.
  • Trying to hire extension staffers.  Tara Suan, trying to get her to move from NYC.  Laura Pacheco, trying to bring her on temporarily.
  • Enjoying my new motorcycle, have done two day rides.  One with Rex to Sultan, and one with Eric to Diablo.
  • Saw Dr. Ahmadian.  Blood work good, TSH low, which is what she wants to reduce chance of activating cancer.  But risk factors of osteoporosis and afib.  Ugh.
  • Owen crisis.  He walked away from sandwich shop job, lied about it.  Have done a first visit to a therapist, Michael Galloway, recommended by Nancy Canon.  Seems good.  Still need to get him out of the house, hoping for low income housing via Cap Hill Housing.
  • Great opera:  Aida.  Drinks at Hilltop after with Kathy.
  • Moth mainstage awesome.  Spice Girls story; drummer from Hole hanging with young women; Native guy who didn't know one hymn; 96 year old who dealt with racism; Iraq vet who lost a brother and gained one.
